need more celebration of life ideas

My MIL and I were always close and sadly, she passed away last month, sha was cremated.

We delayed the service bcs my SIL was still abroad, now that she's here, we're planning the celebration of life next week.

I never been to one, so unsure what to expect. We're doing a short service, butterfly release, photo display, and a catered buffet.

Since my husband and I would be managing this, I need more celebration of life ideas

So sorry to hear about your loss. Yes, a short service will do. if she has lots of friends maybe they would like to say something about her, share stories about her. good way to celebrate her life

Sorry for your loss. Your plans sound great already. You could add a memory jar for guests to write stories or messages, play her favorite songs or have live music, offer small keepsakes like photo magnets, set up a donation station for a cause she cared about, or display a timeline or photo path of her life.
